Dill oil, USA has lower carvone content than dill seed oil but still has a similar warm, spicy-herbal and very pleasant aroma. Dill plants from India and the USA are slightly different analytically. All natural dill oils whether seed or herb, American or Indian, contain varying amounts of carvone, limonene, and dihydrocarvone, eugenol, anisic aldehyde, anethole and thymol. Which is better is entirely a matter of opinion and personal taste. EOU's Dill seed oil from India has a more "typical" pickle aroma than this particular lot of American Dill weed.
